Using the Cricut Cutting Machine – Making A Vinyl Logo for Susan’s Camper

A very good friend of mine Susan decided to drop everything she was doing and head out to see the country (or at least a bit of it) with herself and her two doggies.  She decided that this cute teardrop camper was the perfect form of shelter!

I was fortunate enough to spend some time with her and my tennis buds recently in Virginia and I decided she needed a logo for her camper – so I designed one using my Cricut!

Here’s how I did it and it also includes live video of when we snuck to where her camper was parked and applied it her teardrop!

I hope you enjoy this and if you can please share it on Facebook and Pinterest!

Best always,

Suzanne

Anna Griffin Halloween Kit is Here!! (and her new Xryon Sticker Maker)

Halloween Anna Griffin KitIt’s always fun when uber talented Anna Griffin releases her Halloween paper kits!  If you love to decorate for Halloween or want to make cards, even candy bag tags, this is a fun kit to have.

Anna rarely does a Halloween kit and she wanted to get it out early so you’d have plenty of time!  What I love about this kit is the cardstock is fantastic and the dies are really fun.

Ultimately, it’s the ease and SPEED that I love. We are all time starved and you can create something  great in minutes with this kit!

Below is my video that gives you an sneak peak of what’s inside and also I’ll show you two finished cards to make!

If you love this video please share it on Facebook and Pinterest!

Best always,

Suzanne

Easy to make Party and Holiday Hanging Decorations using Crafters Companion Dies and the Gemini Machine!

Dollar Tree Party Hanging DIY you tube

I’m such a fan of strolling the aisles of my local Dollar Tree and see what inspires me! Recently,  I decided to create a 4th of July and a birthday Luau decorative hanging project.

So, for a couple of bucks and a bunch of hot glue, the circle die from Crafters Companion “Circle Centre” and my little workhorse, the Gemini die cutting machine,  here are the result!

Enjoy and have an amazing day!

If you get a chance please subscribe to my blog to see the new ideas I have underway. Also please share this on Facebook and Pinterest.

How to Age Anna Griffin Cards

I’ve been a huge fan of Anna Griffin for a very long time…. way before she’s become a dear friend!  She is just as wonderful in person as she is on the air with me on HSN.

I’m excited once again to work with her so I decided to share a fun and simple technique to take her, already beautiful cards, and give them an aged or vintage look!  Enjoy and share!

Give Flowers with a “Paper” Twist using the Cricut

So we had dinner with some friends the other night.  We try to get together once every three months.  This month, my friend Denise and her partner Steve were hosting.  We always take a little something for the host but I really wanted to do something unexpected.  So I decided to give flowers but with a twist…all made by paper!

Here’s my You Tube Video but I’ve included the steps below!

Supplies: Crucit Machine , Tim Holtz Paper and button embellishments, chop sticks, Spectrum Nior Marker, Stampin Up Ink Pad,  floral foam, empty plastic spice bottle, glue gun.

Step 1: On my Cricut I used Creative Bug – flowers at 10.4″ W x  11″ H.  Cut out the exact same flowers using 4 different pieces of card stock.  Then cut out the tri fold Vase Banner at 10″ W x 7.5″ H.

Step 2: Go outside and scrape the heck out of each flower section (instantly gives it an aged look and helps soften the stiff card stock.)

Step 3: Ink all the edges of the flowers and ink the edges of the vase using Stampin’ Up Bravo Burgundy.  I’ve included a before and after to show you how much richer it looks using this method. It makes a huge difference. Roll up the edges of the petals using your finger nails.

Step 4: Color the chop sticks using Spectrum Nior markers

Step 5: Hot glue the flower layers together and glue on the chop sticks.

Step 6: Insert the floral foam into the plastic spice bottle (cut to fit) and then position the plastic vase inside the paper vase and glue it together.

Step 7: Place the flowers into the floral foam at two different heights!

Step 8: Hot glue ribbon around the skinniest part of the vase. I added a button in the center too.

Step 9: Take a picture and send it to me to post so we can all enjoy your creation!

We’ll be featuring it throughout our May 9th HSN Crafting Day including my event launch at midnight.  You might already have it (join the sisterhood) but if you don’t I’m doing a series of videos to cover the very basics including some of the accessories we never get time to talk about.  Here are links to 3 of them!

Cricut Markers Basics

Sticky Solutions – The Mats

I’m going to be doing much more in-depth videos to show you why these are must haves if you want to get the most out of your Cricut!

Have a blessed and wonderful day!
